Bluewater State Park New Mexico

Image
We were lucky enough to get into a state park for memorial weekend. It was only 7 miles off interstate 40 so very convenient but no internet whatsoever. There was a number of electric only sites we got one and then an interesting thing was they allowed people to camp right on the edge of the lake. Nice little fixer upper right on the dam. Swallows nest we came across on our hiking down in the canyon behind the dam

Winslow Arizona for 2 days.

We have not had internet for a few days so I got to get caught up. We spent two nights at homolovi State Park just outside of Winslow. Of course we had to go stand on the corner in.Winslow Arizona

Day two North rim Grand canyon

Image
We drove the cape Royal road out to Cape Royal. This is a nice paved slightly crooked road but it takes you to Walhalla overlook and to Angels window and Cape Royal, all are unbelievably beautiful. Here are some of the pics. Yes there's an opening in that ledge and yes those are people. This is a look out from that ledge. We should all have good luck now. Picture looking  Out of the lodge Dining area in the lodge with a million dollar view. We really enjoyed our short stay in the North rim of the Grand canyon. There were some people here but nothing like Zion.

We travel to North rim of Grand canyon from Zion today and walked the trail to the lodge. You're some of the pictures we took on our way We had a nice campfire and so refreshing after being at Zion that was so busy.

Day three and four at the zion

We tried to get tickets for Zion shuttle and did not on day three So we decided to take a road trip and maybe find some caches on the way. We found a state park it was called Coral pink sand dunes and had to go see. Sand boarding is popular here those are people sandboarding down the sand dune Very interesting they had dune buggies and people out on those sand dunes. Day two we rented electric bikes to go into Zion. We were told there be very little traffic, but they were wrong. The following pics are some of the things we saw. We walked the trail towards the narrows and after about a mile or so you have to get in the water we did not. But many did as the pic show. The lodge was very pretty. Deer actually were not afraid of coming close to people to get to eat some really good grass We enjoyed the e-bikes but you do not get exercise with these. Tomorrow we move on to the north rim of Grand canyon for a couple of days.

Springdale Utah - Zion national Park

We have been at Springdale for 2 days and have not been in Zion. There's a good reason for that. To go into Zion you have to have a ticket to get on the shuttle unless you're riding a bicycle or walking that's the only way you can go. I now know where Publix got its method for the covid vaccine, it was from Zion national Park. At 5:00 p.m. you have the ability to buy the next day's tickets. And you can only buy the next day. At 5:00 p.m. I was online and I made a mistake and only had one ticket down and I tried to modify, at 5:02 all the tickets were gone. So tomorrow we have rented electric bikes so that we can go up into the canyon. So if you happen to ever want to come to Zion make sure you get your tickets first otherwise I don't think I would come here. This is the most expensive camping we've had the whole trip. And We have been doing some geocaching and geocaching this made us see some nice sites around the area the following pics will show that. This per...
