Carlsbad caverns

This is out of order this was before lake Belton.
This is our third time to Carlsbad and every time it's breathtaking. The pictures below do not begin to show what it looks like.
It takes you 45 minutes to walk down 66 switchbacks to get to the large room. Then the large room is about an hour and a half walk around it. Everything is gigantic.

    I would love to go there but Ed would never be able to walk it. Great pictures thank you for sharing!
    Our road trip is over we cut it short when my mom fell and broke her hip. Just arrived at our Indiana house yesterday. Enjoy the rest of your travels!

This was probably the rainest day on the trip so far. Let's go right here Nice campsite right on the Arkansas River. We have mayflies here in fact this is only two of thousands that were on the camper. We were able to go for a bike ride on an extremely nice trail that crosses some water Met this family that didn't say much that was also on the bike trail. You can see the rain coming. On our way back to the car it started raining hard and we look to the right and there was a shelter so we stayed there for about 15 minutes until it stopped. The rain glistened through the pines We have been here before and wanted to climb Pinnacle mountain and the weather was not good to do that so we'll have to come back.

April 29th Vicksburg Mississippi

We traveled about 5 hours to get to Vicksburg Mississippi, the site of a major battle in the civil war. We are camping at Ameristar casino campground a nice campground. We had to support the local casino so Becky put in a dollar and within 10 minutes it was gone

Lake Belton with family

We we're at lake Belton for 3 days with Jason and Jodi's family. We had a great time good weather and lots of food. Here are some of the pics.
